Internship

Our Vision for Your Internship

We are excited to support our community and tomorrow’s therapists by providing our interns with a unique learning opportunity. We offer a diverse clientele, varied populations, and specialized supervision. We have a passion for helping students on their learning journey to becoming competent and confident clinicians. Our offices are warm and inviting and created to build community, not only with our clients but also with you! Our common areas include a large and welcoming waiting room, a coffee bar and lending library, a creative studio, and even a meditation room. We also have an office space and private work area for your use.

If you are a self-starter who welcomes collaboration and new learning experiences, please contact us.

We look forward to creating community with you!

Training

We are a teaching facility and as such, offer multiple opportunities throughout the year for additional teachings and trainings. We have developed our own training guidelines for Telehealth counselling. Our skilled supervisors each have a different area of expertise and you will be able to learn from each one. In addition, we have guest speakers that come from time to time to offer various trainings for you. We are proud of the hard work we have done to make your internship experience great! We adhere to the CCPA Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice with a special emphasis on the Entry to New Practice Guidelines put out by the BCACC.

We are excited to meet you and come alongside this part of your journey!

  • “I cannot express my gratitude well enough for just how lucky I am to have Elsje as a supervisor. Her warmth, expertise, and humour have come to really define, for me, what it means, not only to be a counsellor, but a person of great hospitality and authenticity. Thank you so much for being you with us throughout our practicum.”
