Anjali Gandhi, Intern Clinician

I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Adler University. My academic background is in Integrated Sciences where I've delved into the realms of Neuroscience, Psychiatry, and Counselling Psychology, providing me with a unique perspective that combines neurobiological understanding with therapeutic practices.

The experiences I've gained have reinforced my belief in the transformative power of counselling, especially for underserved communities. As a proud member of the South Asian community, I've witnessed firsthand the need for culturally sensitive and diverse mental health support. I am passionate about researching and implementing cross-cultural counselling strategies, to bridge the treatment gap and make mental health care more accessible and effective for minorities.

My interest in person-centred and existential approaches aligns seamlessly with the compassionate and holistic care I believe in providing. I am inspired by the potential of blending Western psychotherapy models with Eastern healing practices to create a more comprehensive and inclusive therapeutic experience. In fact, I've previously worked on integrating meditation into psychosocial training, witnessing firsthand the profound impact holistic techniques can have on mental well-being.

With a commitment to empathy, adaptability, and continual growth, I am eager to create meaningful connections and make a positive difference in the lives of people from all walks of life.
