Liz Snell, Intern Clinician
My name is Liz Snell and I am completing my Master's in Counselling Psychology at Trinity Western University. I have a background in writing and the arts and love creative engagement with people's stories. We all carry dreams and disappointments, pain and the potential for healing. Having someone to walk alongside us and help us feel seen and understood can make all the difference. I am honoured to join my clients in both their struggles and joys.
My goal is to create a comfortable space to explore big thoughts, questions, and feelings that can be overwhelming to face alone. My approach is grounded in existential and attachment theory. I use modalities such as Emotion Focused Therapy, narrative therapy, and sand tray to help people befriend their emotions and develop meaning. I am particularly interested in experiences of ambiguous loss, including infertility, disability, unwanted singleness, and life transitions. I seek to help clients understand the patterns in their stories and work toward resilience and hope.
