Kelly Henry, Intern Counsellor

Hi, I’m Kelly.

I’m known for creating a space where people can feel comfortable being fully themselves—especially when talking about the parts of life that don’t always feel easy to share. My approach is warm, relational, and grounded in genuine connection. I believe that feeling seen, heard, and understood is where meaningful change begins.

I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. With many years of experience working closely with people, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the stories we carry and the strength it takes to navigate life’s challenges. I bring that same presence into the therapy room, meeting you where you are with curiosity, compassion, and respect.

I have experience supporting women through various life stages, including transitions related to identity, relationships, and parenting. I have also spent significant time working with teens and understand the unique challenges that can arise during this stage of life. I welcome clients who may be navigating anxiety, depression, chronic illness, burnout, or life transitions, and who are looking for a space to slow down and make sense of their experiences.

My work is influenced by person-centred and relational approaches, while also integrating cognitive-behavioural and solutions focused strategies when helpful. I aim to create a space that feels safe, collaborative, and at your pace—whether that means talking things through, slowing down, or simply having a place to land.

You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. We can make sense of things together.

Outside of this work, I’m an avid long-distance runner and enjoy creating art in many forms. I value time with my family—my husband, three adult children, and our dogs, Zeke and Zelda—and feel grateful to live and work on the beautiful West Coast.
